View your tasks, and claim available tasks

​​​​​​The My Tasks Page is the central location in MSPComplete where members track the tasks that need to be completed. On the My Tasks Page, you can view the tasks that are assigned to you and claim unassigned tasks.

View your​​ tasks

On the My Tasks Page, you can view the status of your tasks, and act on them.

To view your tasks and unassigned tasks, select the appropriate workgroup, and then click My Tasks in the left navigation pane.

This information is displayed for each task in the My Tasks Page:

Details

Description

Task Name

The task name.

Task Tags

The tags for the task.

Customer

The customer for the task.

These actions can be performed on the My Tasks Page:

Description

View the task

Click the name of a task to view it on the Service Page.

Release task

Click the ellipsis next to a task, and then click Release to make the task unassigned.

Claim more task and claim

Click Claim more tasks, and then click Claim next to a task that you want to claim.

For more information: Read the Claim unassigned tasks topic.

Sort

Click Sort to reorder the list by start date, due date, or task name.

Filter

Click Filter to narrow down the list of tasks using one of these options:

  • Customer: Narrow down the list of services to a specific customer in the workgroup.
  • Team: Narrow down the list of services to a specific team in workgroup.

Search

Click the search icon to find tasks with a specific keyword.

 

Claim unassign​​​​ed tasks

You can view and claim unassigned tasks on the My Tasks Page. When you claim tasks, you become responsible for completing them. Read the Complete tasks or update their status topic for more information.

Complete these steps to claim unassigned tasks:

  1. Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click My Tasks in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click Claim more tasks.
  3. In the list of available tasks, click Claim to take ownership of an unassigned task.

  4. Click close to return to the My Tasks page. The recently claimed task is added to your My Tasks Page.

 

Release tas​​ks

You can release tasks assigned to you or that you claimed. Released tasks return to an unassigned state.

Complete these steps to release assigned tasks:

  1. Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click My Tasks in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click the ellipsis next to a task, and then click Release.
