How do I resolve the "Failed to Register" error message when installing the HealthCheck for Azure Agent?

Answer:

Customer keys, also known as API keys, are assigned when Partners register for HealthCheck for Azure. These customer keys are required to install the HealthCheck for Azure Agent. If you use an incorrect customer key, you will see the following error message:

 

Follow these steps to resolve the "Failed to Register" error message when installing the HealthCheck for Azure Agent:

  1. Sign in to the HealthCheck for Azure portal.
  2. From the top left navigation pane, click on Settings.
  3. From the left navigation pane, click on Agent Installation.
  4. Click on the Windows tab.
  5. Write down the API key that is listed under the Windows GUI Installation Instructions.


  6. Reinstall the HealthCheck for Azure Agent and enter the API key into the Customer Key field of the agent installer.
