Handling "Invalid File" and "Wrong Installation Path" errors

If the Windows Agent installation fails because the installer file could not be found, you receive this error message:

There are several reasons this can happen. To troubleshoot the issue, follow these steps:

  • If you are installing from the command line, double-check to ensure that your installation commands are error-free.
  • If you are installing from the command line, ensure that you have entered the commands correctly, and the the file name and path are entered correctly.
  • If the installer command is correct and you're still receiving these errors, try uninstalling and  then reinstalling the Agent.
  • If you continue receiving errors, file a BitTitan support ticket. For guidance, see How do I get support for your products?
Note: When filing a support ticket, run the following command to create a log file for your failed installation, and include the log file with the support ticket. Where the command includes the string CUSTOMER_KEY, substitute the customer key that was provided when the installer (.msi) file was downloaded.

msiexec /i Cloudamize-Windows-Agent.msi customerkey=CUSTOMER_KEY /qn /lvx* install_log.txt
