Device Management Page

​​​On the Device Management Page, you can view the information collected by the Device Management Agent (DMA) deployed on your customer’s computers. You can also access the HealthCheck for Office 365 assessment and the DeploymentPro service.

View the D​​​evice Management Page

The information collected by the Device Management Agent (DMA) installed on your customer’s computers is displayed on the customer’s Device Management Page in MSPComplete.

Complete the steps below to view a customer’s Device Management Page:

  1. Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click All Customers in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click the name of a customer for which you want to view computers.
  3. Click the Manage button in the top right corner of the page, and then select Device Management.

The Services tab on the Device Management Page displays information about active services associated to Device Management, such as the HealthCheck for Office 365 assessment and DeploymentPro. The Computers tab displays the customer computers that have DMA installed, and have transmitted information back to MSPComplete.

Deploy Agent with Group Policy Object

Download the agent and read instructions on how to deploy DMA with a Group Policy Object.

Active Services

When HealthCheck for Office 365 or DeploymentPro are active for the customer, the Services tab on the Device Management Page displays the number of computers that are affected by each service, and a summary of the outcome.

Computer Name

The name of the computer.

Number of Users

The number of users who have signed in to the computer.

Agent Status

The status of DMA on the computer.

  • A failed icon ( Ò ) or unknown icon ( ? ) is displayed for computers that have not transmitted information for some time.
  • A success icon (a) is displayed for computers that are actively transmitting information.
  • A status of uninstalling is displayed for computers that are in the process of uninstalling DMA.
  • A status of uninstalled is displayed for computers that no longer have DMA installed.

You can perform the actions listed below on the Device Management Page:

Deploy Agent with Group Policy Object

Click Deploy Agent with Group Policy Object to download a copy of the agent executable, and view instructions for installing it on your customer’s computers.

Edit Device Management Agent settings

Change the frequency in which DMA transmits heartbeat and log updates to MSPComplete.

Edit the Device Mana​gement Agent settings

DMA transmits heartbeat and log updates to MSPComplete after it is installed on customer computers. You can change the frequency of the updates by editing the DMA settings on the Device Management Page.

Complete these steps to edit DMA settings:

1.       Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click All Customers in the left navigation pane.

2.       Click the name of a customer for which you want to view computers.

3.       Click the Manage button in the top right corner of the page, and then select Device Management.

4.       Click Device Management Agent settings and enter the information listed below into the Device Management Agent settings form.

Description

Heartbeat Updates

Enter the frequency of heartbeat updates. The frequency can range from a minimum of one hour to a maximum of 12 hours.

Log Upload Updates

Enter the frequency of log updates. The frequency can range from a minimum of one hour to a maximum of 12 hours.

5.       Click Save.
