Delivery Center

​​​The Delivery Center is the central location in MSPComplete where members manage and track services and their tasks. The Delivery Center is available in a workgroup context, which displays services for all customers in the workgroup, and in a customer context, which displays only the services for the se​lected customer.

View added services

In the Delivery Center, you can view the progress and status of all active and completed services in a workgroup, including tasks that are in progress, completed, blocked, who they are assigned to, and when they’re due.

To view the status of all services and tasks across all customers in a workgroup, select the appropriate workgroup, and then click Delivery Center in the left navigation pane. To view services for a single customer, click All Customers in the left navigation pane, select a customer, and then click the Delivery Center tab.

This information is displayed for each service listed in the Delivery Center:

Details

Description

1

Service name

The name of the service.

Service tags

Tags for the service.

Note: The name of the customer for which the service belongs to is displayed as a tag.

Service due date

The due date for the service. Services without a due date are displayed with a dotted calendar icon (deliverycenter03.png). Due dates in the past are displayed in red.

service assignee

The assignee for the service. Services without an assignee are displayed with a dotted user icon (deliverycenter04.png).

service progress

The overall progress and completion percentage for the service. Overdue services are displayed with a red progress bar.

Tip: Hover over the progress bar to view the number of tasks completed out of the total number tasks for the service.

Service and task status

The status for the service and its tasks.

  • A spinning circle icon (deliverycenter05.png) is displayed if one of the tasks for the service is in progress.
  • A blocked icon (deliverycenter06.png) is displayed if one of the tasks for the service is blocked.
  • A check mark icon (deliverycenter07.png) is displayed if all the tasks for the service are completed

Current task name

The name of the current active task for the service.

Assignee of the current task

The assignee for the current task. If the task has not been assigned, then an assignee is not displayed.

Due date of the current task

The due date for the current task. If a due date has not been given to the task, then a due date is not displayed. Due dates that have passed are displayed in red.

These actions can be performed in the Delivery Center:

Description

View tasks

Click a service to view the tasks for that service.

Edit service details

Click the ellipsis next to a service, and then select Edit Service Details.

Save as custom service

Click the ellipsis next to a service, and then select Save as Custom Service.

Delete service

Click the ellipsis next to a service, and then select Delete Service.

Add service

Click Add Service to start a new service.

Note: Recently added services are displayed in the Add Service drop-down menu.

Sort options

Click Sort to reorder the list of services by start date, due date, or name.

Filter options

Click Filter to narrow down the list of services by customer, team, or assignee.

Search

Click the search icon to find services with a specific keyword.

Note: Only the service names and tags are indexed for search.

Manage custom services

Click Manage Custom Services to view the custom services for the selected workgroup.

Add services to a customer

You can add services to a customer, assign services to members or teams, and set services to start and be due on a specific date and time.

Complete these steps to add services to a customer:

  1. Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click Delivery Center in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click Add Service.

    Note: Recently added services are displayed in the Add Service drop-down menu.

    The Service Library displays all the available services within the workgroup, and includes search and filtering options to quickly find a service. Services are split into the following categories:
    • Custom Services: Services created by members of your workgroup. Read the Custom Services Library article for more information about custom services.
    • BitTitan Services: Services created by BitTitan and available to all BitTitan Partners as part of their subscription.
  3. Select a service in the Service Library and enter this information into the service details form.

    Field

    Description

    Customer

    Select a customer for the service.

    Name

    Enter a name for the service or leave the default service name unchanged.

    Assign team

    Select a team for the service. When a service is assigned to a team, the list of members in the Assignee field is filtered to display only members of the selected team.

    If you prefer to assign the service directly to a member of the workgroup, leave the Assign Team field blank and instead select a member in the Assignee field.

    Assignee

    Select a member for the service. If a team was selected for the service, then the list of members is filtered to display only members of the selected team.

    If you want the service to be claimed or automatically assigned to a member of a team, leave the Assignee field blank and instead select a team in the Assign Team field.

    Schedule
    (start date and due date)

    • Select a start date for the service, and then click Apply.
    • Select a due date for the service, and then click Apply.

    Price charged to customer

    Enter a price charged to the customer for the service.

  4. Choose one of these options:
    • Click Add service to add the service to the customer, and return to the Delivery Center.
    • Click Add and Start Service to add the service and jump to the Service Page.

      Tip: Add tasks to a service if the service requires additional tasks beyond the ones that are included in the service. Read the Add tasks to a service​ topic ​​for more information.

 

Assign services

You can assign services to members or teams. Service assignees receive notification of their assigned services, and may be responsible for ensuring that the service and all its tasks are completed on time.

Complete these steps to assign services:

  1. Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click Delivery Center in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click the ellipsis next to the unassigned service, and then select Edit Service Details.

    Note: Services without an assignee are displayed with a dotted user icon (deliverycenter09.png).
  3. You can assign the service in one of the following two ways:
    • In the Assign Team field, select a team for the service. When a service is assigned to a team, the list of members in the Assignee field is filtered to display only members of the selected team. If you prefer to assign the service directly to a member of the workgroup, leave the Assign Team field blank and instead select a member in the Assignee field.
    • In the Assignee field, select a member for the service. If a team was selected for the service, then the list of members is filtered to display only members of the selected team. If you want the service to be claimed or automatically assigned to a member of a team, leave the Assignee field blank and instead select a team in the Assign Team field.

      Note: Click Assign to me to assign the service to yourself.
  4. Click Save.

 

Edit service details

You can edit service details, such as the name for the service, assigned team, assignee, schedule, and price charged to the customer.

Complete these steps to edit service details:

  1. Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click Delivery Center in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click the ellipsis next to a service and select Edit Service Details.
  3. Enter this information into the service details form:

    Field

    Name

    Enter a name for the service or leave the default service name unchanged.

    Assign team

    Select a team for the service. When a service is assigned to a team, the list of members in the Assignee field is filtered to display only members of the selected team.

    If you prefer to assign the service directly to a member of the workgroup, leave the Assign Team field blank and instead select a member in the Assignee field.

    Schedule

    (start date and due date)

    • Select a start date for the service, and then click Apply.
    • Select a due date for the service, and then click Apply.

    Price charged to customer

    Enter a price charged to the customer for the service.

  4. Click Save.

 

Save services as custom services

To create custom services, you must first add a service to a customer, and then save that service as a custom service.

Complete these steps to save services as custom services:

  1. Add a service to a customer.

    For more information: Read the Add services to a customer topic for more information.
  2. In the Delivery Center, click the ellipsis next to the service you added, and then select Save as Custom Service.
  3. Enter this information into the save as custom service form.

    Field

    Description
    Service name

    Enter a name for the custom service or leave the default service name unchanged.

    Viewable by

    Select one of these options:

    Only me: The custom service will only be viewable to you, and you will be the only member in the workgroup who can edit the custom service details or delete the custom service.

    Everyone in workgroup: The custom service is available to all members in the workgroup, and all members can edit the custom service details or delete the custom service.

    Attributes

    Select from these options.

    • Team assignment: The team assignments from the selected service will be saved as part of the custom service.
    • User assignment: The member assignments from the selected service and its tasks will be saved as part of the custom service.
    • Schedule: The start and due dates from the selected service and its tasks will be saved as part of the custom service.
  4. Click Save as Custom Service.

    Note: After you save the custom service, it is displayed in the Service Library under the Custom Services section. Read the Add services to a customer article for more information.

 

Delete services for a customer

You can delete services for a customer, even while services and their tasks are in progress.

Caution: Services that are in progress, and their tasks, cannot be recovered after they have been deleted.

Complete these steps to delete services for a customer:

  1. Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click Delivery Center in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click the ellipsis next to a service and select Delete Service.
  3. Click Delete the service when prompted to confirm the action.
